Tornado season is officially over, school is out, and it’s starting to feel like the inside of an oven in Bedford. That must mean that it’s summer!
Even though every year we seem to forget just how hot it gets, everyone knows the heat can’t keep a Texan holed up inside all summer long! We have places to go, things to do, and people to see!

Texas State Fair – September 29–October 22, 2017
I know what you’re thinking: technically our fair happens at the beginning of fall. But this is Texas, and October is still tank-top weather, so I’m going to count it. The grand finale of any summer in the Mid-Cities has to be the Texas State Fair. Every year seems to be a competition to top the year before, and it’s already the biggest fair in the country. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Texans”; it will be running for an amazing 24 days.
