How Does Air Abrasion Work, You Ask?

Think of air abrasion as a mini sandblaster as it delivers a powerful airstream with tiny aluminum oxide particles onto the surface of your tooth. Or, you can think of it as a microdermabrasion treatment for your mouth. The best part is – no drills are necessary.

In most cases, no anesthetic is needed either. Of course, if you have very sensitive teeth, the blowing air can be uncomfortable.

Who is the Best Candidate For Air Abrasion?

Air Abrasion is not for large or advanced tooth decay. It doesn’t replace a major cavity filling. It’s for stage one, or early tooth decay. In some cases it also removes discolorations and stains on the surface of your teeth.

This is also a more conservative approach, because we save more of the original tooth structure.

We love helping your smile shine bright in the most pain free way possible. If you have any questions regarding Air Abrasions, please ask.
